My name is Melissa! I’m a fun loving, soon to be 50 Mom, wife, pastry chef, paralegal, and blogger who loves traveling, RV’ing, fishing, discovering exciting restaurants and local spots.
As you may notice throughout my blog, I bake A LOT! I’m a formally trained pastry chef and love creating custom cakes. I also really enjoy recipe creation of all types that aren’t necessarily cake related.

Living in Florida, we have a pretty sweet life….Fun and Sun most days of the year! That’s how I came up with the name BLOGGING THE SWEET LIFE. I’m always on the hunt for fun places to visit in Florida and of course my journeys carry me and the family beyond the Florida state line when possible.
